Appointment of Acting Mayor

Council appointed Councillor Trevor Giertuga to act as Mayor and preside over the October 7, 2024 council meeting. The motion also authorized him to sign any related documents on behalf of the city for that meeting.

WITH RESPECT to the Appointment of Acting Mayor for the October 7, 2024 City Council meeting, we recommend that Councillor Trevor Giertuga be appointed to preside over the meeting as Acting Mayor as per Section 242 of the Municipal Act, 2001

the confirming by-law for the October 7, 2024 City Council meeting be the authorizing by-law which provides signing authority for any associated documentation including but not limited to by-laws.
