Confirmation of Agenda
Council confirmed the agenda for the November 25, 2024 meeting, including any additional items that were added.
WITH RESPECT to the November 25, 2024 City Council, we recommend that the agenda as printed, including any additional information and new business, be confirmed.
Committee of the Whole minutes be voted on separately.
Council will consider allocating one-time funding in the 2025 budget to advance waterfront development projects outlined in the city's 2024-2026 Action Plan. The city will also ask provincial and federal governments for funding support, and any needed bylaw changes will be brought back to council for approval.
WITH RESPECT to the Memorandum from Councillor Andrew Foulds, Chair - Waterfront Development Committee dated October 9, 2024, we recommend that one-time funding for advancing further development initiatives for Waterfront as outlined in the 2024-2026 Action Plan, be included in the proposed 2025 Operating Budget for Council's consideration, along with a recommended funding source
- the Inter-Governmental Affairs Committee advocate for funding from other levels of government to support the initiatives as outlined in the 2024-2026 Action Plan
- any necessary by-laws be presented to City Council for ratification. Referral - Waterfront Development Committee - Request for Resources and Funding
Council rejected a proposal to have Councillor Foulds' September memo reviewed during the 2025 budget meeting for Infrastructure & Operations, along with the administration's budget presentation.
WITH RESPECT to the Memorandum from Councillor Foulds dated September 10, 2025, as contained in the November 18, 2025 Committee of the Whole minutes, we recommend that the contents of the memo be referred to the 2025 Infrastructure & Operations Operating Budget meeting for consideration, in addition to the budget presented by Administration
- any necessary by-laws be presented to City Council for ratification.
