Council confirmed the agenda for the January 22, 2024 meeting, including all printed items and any new business that was added.

WITH RESPECT to the January 22,2024 City Council, we recommend that the agenda as printed, including any additional information and new business, be confirmed.

Ratifying Resolution

Council approved two items: awarding a tender for fuel replacement at the Egan Yard Farm, and appointing an Acting Chief of Fire.

THAT the following ratifying resolutions be introduced, read, dealt with individually: 1. Report 006-2024 (Infrastructure, Development & Operations- Engineering & Operations) Egan Yard Farm Fuel Replacement - Tender Award; 2. Memorandum from Kerri Marshall, General Manager - Infrastructure, Development & Operations, dated January 10, 2024, relative to the Appointment of Acting Chief of Fire.

Procedural

#2 CARRIED Council confirmed the accuracy of the official minutes from the January 8, 2023 meeting. This is a standard procedural step to formally approve the record of what was discussed and decided at that previous meeting.

#3 CARRIED Council approved the official minutes from the January 8, 2023 Committee of the Whole meeting, making them part of the official record.

#5 CARRIED Council approved a new by-law to appoint an Acting Chief of Fire for Thunder Bay Fire Rescue, replacing the previous appointment by-law from 2020.
